Gathering Feedback

Very often I wonder, what do my customers think when they bought my stuff? If they bought it as gifts, what do the receiver feel?

People don't come back to me to tell me what's good or bad about my products. I have no idea where to improve on. I'm using some of the pouches myself. So far I can't find any flaws (maybe I'm blinded to the flaws because I'm the one who created them in the first place?). But I'm sure there is problem. Nothing is perfect. I need to know what's good or not working so I can continue improving them in my future products.

So please, if you have been using my product or gifted it to a friend, let me know what do you feel! Do my stuff break easily? Is it too expensive or cheap for it's quality? I will be so thankful for any feedback at all. I will also send you a gift of thanks!

A short hiatus

Merrow Dream has gone quite quiet for awhile. But do not fret, we are not gone. Just merely taking a little break to figure out new designs and prints.

Our last flea at the TBMXX flea was not a resounding success like the Christmas one. The crowd was much lesser (I guess everyone was busy spring-cleaning their house for the Chinese New Year). But I did get feedbacks that some people remember me or Merrow Dream. I hear feedbacks that were both encouraging and constructive. As I do not want to present the same items again and again at the fleas (and not at the same flea too), I'm working on newer products, newer designs, finding new flea organisers, etc. Being sick twice in a month definitely didn't help with the progress. So I hope that you guys can be patient with me.

Thanks again for the loyal support!

TBM Flea @ F1 pit building

It was an exciting weekend for us at the Three Blind Mice Xmas Flea. It's our second flea and our first time joining TBM. The flea has the largest gathering of bloggers and also a late night shopping on Saturday. We were super anxious in participating such a huge flea. When we first arrive and found our booth, we were even more surprised. The venue is huge and they had 2 halls!

Look at the scale of just one hall. Our booth is located at the end of one hall so I had the entire view of the hall.

At 9.30am, we went straight to setting up the booth. Having learnt many precious lessons from the previous flea, we made changes to our layout and pricing banners.

And at 12.30, the first crowd (premium ticket holders) swarmed in. My jaw almost dropped. The queue outside the venue and the amount of people that continue to stream in the entire day is enormous! Even the rain could not stop them!

We opted to stay for the late night shopping. By the time we wrapped up at 11.30, we were almost out of stocks of the dumpling pouch and our newest collection of card holders. Reception of our products was extremely well! I almost had nothing left for the next day!

So despite reaching home at 1am, we set down to producing more items to meet the demand. Sleep was sacrificed of course and the next morning we were up and going for the last day of flea!

We opened up the option of preordering customized card holders and drawstring pouch of the newest collection. Customers get to choose the prints and the colors they like and we will make it and mail it to their house! It was very well received especially among the younger crowd.

By the end of the day, we were again almost sold out of everything. Honestly the flea was much more rewarding than expected. So dearest customers, we ask for some time while we sort out the preorders before we update the website with the newest range of products. Meanwhile, you can stay updated via our

Stay tuned and once again, thank you for you support!!

First Flea and New Instagram Acoount!

Wow it was an exciting week!

When I first confirmed my slot at my first flea market attempt, I began a mad rush to come up with as many products as I can. This flea is important to me because I'm there to understand my consumer. Profit-making was secondary. So even though the flea turned out to be quite unsuccessful, I learnt quite afew lessons about what my consumers want! This gives me a better idea about the direction I want to head down on my next batch of products!

For those who didn't catch me at the flea, this is how my booth looks like on both days.
Day 1

Day 2

In case you were wondering, I was also selling some handmade accessories for my aunt.

The mad rush for 2 weeks left my body in a poor state. It finally gave up yesterday, After popping some pills from my doctor, I could get out of my bed. At the flea, people were asking "you don't have an instagram account??". So Facebook is out and Instagram is in huh?

And thus I created Merrow Dream's Instagram account! Check it out if you haven't liked it: "merrowdreamshop" .

I will be updated this blogshop with my newest collections (especially those you saw at the flea). Please be patient with me. Thank you!

Prints Galore!

Thanks for everyone's support! I'm so happy that the first collection received such good response! The previous post has been updated with sold-out and selling-out items!

Sorry for the inactivity for these few weeks. I was busy experimenting screen-printing with my own designs. There are some failed ones. But with the remaining successful ones, I've made new pouches!

Do not belittle these square pouches. They measure 14.5cm by 14.5cm and they can hold up to alot of things! See below! These are just typically what I carry everyday. I fit them all into my square pouch!

Another successful print is this aztec one.
